With great pride, we hereby announce that our Kochi unit Medi Combines has been officially awarded a Certificate of Compliance to World Health Organization’s Good Distribution Practices (WHO-GDP) after clearing multiple stages of relevant audits, in May 2022.

We view this initiative as a major internal upgrade to the way we redefine our operational processes, warehousing infrastructure & methodologies, and employee performance criteria. All critical functions shall be aligned to these new standards within an intelligently designed, well maintained warehouse infrastructure layout. Within this systematic framework, we pledge to achieve full-fledged ‘Cold-Chain Integrity’ in our supply chain process flow – this is in line with our 2020-30 Strategy of enhancing lives of patients/end-users of the medicines & vaccines that we are authorized to distribute, by ensuring that product efficacy is not compromised upon at any step in the multilayered distribution timeline.

It is in our purview to to ensure that temperature-control is maintained from the moment goods are received at our doorstep, until we deliver the goods in the hands of our end customer. This shall become a fundamental strategic component of our company ethos going forward, and is bound to differentiate our value addition to Kerala’s institutional healthcare fraternity.

What does this initiative mean for us as an organisation, and how will it reshape the manner in which we conduct our business operations?

    A new vision

We are making a renewed commitment to playing an increasingly vital role in enhancing the lives of patients/end users of the medicines & vaccines we store, transport & distribute, by ensuring that product efficacy is not compromised at any link in the complex supply chain flow

    Cold-Chain integrity

We pledge to achieve full fledged cold-chain integrity by adhering to rigorous, global-standard norms and protocols for handling / storing / monitoring / transporting sensitive pharmaceutical products within appropriate temperature conditions. This will be aided by incorporating comprehensive GDP guidelines laid out in the form of Quality Management Systems and well defined SOP’s, which serves as further reassurance to our principal companies that their valuable stock is being handled with utmost attention to regulatory compliances

    Infrastructure changes

Our warehouse has been redesigned to accommodate to the latest guidelines set out within the WHO GDP framework, with fully functional storage areas for ambient (18-25 C) as well as cold-chain (2-8 C) products. Strictly defined international standard SOPs shall govern all critical operations including incoming/outgoing goods movement, product inspection, packaging, FEFO inventory management, rack/pallet wise storage, segregation of quarantined/expired/damaged goods, and general warehouse hygiene. Designated areas are defined for each of these processes as part of an intelligently designed warehousing layout

    Safety & Surveillance

Our valuable inventory shall be kept under 24x7 CCTV surveillance. Fire safety, pest/rodent control, regular housekeeping, preventive maintenance of backup generators, air conditioners and other electrical equipment also fall under the agenda of our warehouse management system.

    Employee culture

Through regular training sessions and open table discussions, we aim to build a future-oriented pharmaceutical warehouse workforce whose fundamental belief systems and attitude towards work are directly aligned to the goals of WHO GDP - this ultimately encompasses a bigger-picture value based orientation towards improving patients lives
